Preliminary Conference Program

Please join us to celebrate our 10th Biennial Atlanta Conference on Science and Innovation Policy. Hosted by Georgia Tech, the Atlanta Conference provides a forum to present and discuss high quality empirical research by about 300 scholars representing more than 30 countries that focus on the challenges and trends associated with science and innovation policy and processes.

The 10th Atlanta Conference will be preceded by the 15th Annual Global TechMining Conference on May 13, 2025. Registered attendees of the TechMining Conference will enjoy discounted pricing at ATLC25 and the two conferences will co-host a reception on the evening of the 13th.

SciComm Academy @ATLC25

As part of ATLC25, Science for Georgia will offer an approximately three-hour workshop as a “pre-conference” event on May 13, 2025. If you wish to attend, please also select the “SciCom Academy” option when you register for ATLC25.

The goal of this workshop is to enable attendees to gain an understanding around high-level, purpose-driven communication of ideas to fellow-scientists, co-workers, bosses, the media, policymakers, and the public. This goal is achieved by teaching participants to frame their message toward their target audience in a way that is relevant, concise, and actionable.

Specifically, this workshop will focus on the content of academic posters. Early-career researchers will write and rehearse their poster elevator pitch, outline an engaging poster, and have an opportunity to receive feedback on the posters that they are presenting at this conference.

Science for Georgia is a non-profit organization focused on improving communication between researchers and the public, increasing public engagement with research, and advocating for the responsible use of evidence-based best-practices in public policy.
