**Abstract Deadline Extended**Due: Nov. 22, 2024

Join us to celebrate the 10th Biennial Atlanta Conference on Science and Innovation Policy (ATLC25). ATLC25 will provide a forum for researchers and policy practitioners to share and discuss innovative research that seeks to understand and address multi-dimensional global challenges.

Hosted by the Georgia Institute of Technology, ATLC25 will be held May 14-16, 2025, at the Global Learning Center in Atlanta, Georgia, USA.

The three-day conference will include plenary sessions focused on the changing nature of science and innovation, presentations of well-developed research, and our engaging early-career poster session. Submissions should address issues relevant to science, technology, and innovation policy and their role in addressing complex global and local challenges. All disciplines and theoretical, methodological, and epistemological approaches are welcome. Topics are inclusive of all:

  • Geographies (e.g., emerging contexts, local innovation, global issues)
  • Technologies (e.g., AI, energy innovations and transitions, responsible innovation)
  • Modes of production (e.g., team science, co-production, collaboration)
  • Forms of governance (e.g., regulation, policy, scientific organization)
  • Sectors of innovation (e.g., technology commercialization, academic entrepreneurship)
  • Career paths (e.g., diversity and inclusion, workforce development)
  • Evaluation design (e.g., developmental, impact assessment, interventions, policy review)
  • Societal considerations (e.g., sustainability, inclusivity, peace, competitiveness)

Submissions

The conference organizing committee invites detailed abstracts and proposals for the following three submission types:

  1. Research presentations: 1,000-word abstracts that describe well-developed research questions, methodologies, and findings.
  2. Thematic panel: 1,000-word abstracts for well-developed 90-minute sessions focused on a prescient conference theme and potentially reflective of our international scope. Abstracts will include the names of participating authors and the titles of their respective papers (which will be submitted separately)
  3. Poster presentations: 500-word abstracts for posters that reflect empirical research findings from undergraduate, graduate students, and postdoctoral fellows within three years of receipt of a doctoral degree. Posters will be eligible for a conference award and judged during the session.

How to Submit

All submissions are due no later than Nov. 22 at 11:59 p.m. ET. Individuals without an EasyChair account will need to create one to submit their submission.
